SA: Eyre Peninsula
"On the Edge of the Nullabor a Mighty Coastline"
A Vast Dramatic Landscape of Changing and Varied Scenery
Leaving behind the top of Spencers Gulf at Port Augusta the road confronts the mighty western plains of Nullabor. On its eastern edge the Eyre Peninsula though stakes one last effort at 'civilisation' with wonderful places like Port Lincoln and Streaky Bay. The produce of this expansive farming district can be seen loading onto ships at Thevenard (Ceduna) and Port Lincoln where thriving communities enjoy a life 'beyond the Madding Crowd'.
The fishing out here is awesome and the coastline boasts scenery truly unique and then there is the wildlife, with the seals of Streaky Bay and Sceale Bay possibly the main attraction.
