For example the world famous Tamworth Country Music Festival which is set in the quaint township of Tamworth New South Wales.

Scottish Gathering: Brigadoon
The largest Scottish gathering in Australia. In the mists of the New South Wales Southern Highlands lies hidden the village of Bundanoon, home to the traditional Scottish Highland Games.
For the past 36 years, Bundanoon has gained the envious reputation throughout Australia for hosting “Bundanoon is Brigadoon”, the gathering held “Always in April” with a following of 10 – 12000 visitors “and you don’t have to be of Scottish descent “to come and enjoy and participate in the day.
