"Never Smile at a Crocodile"

They May Be Big But They Are Not Slow

Australian CrocodileAustralian Crocodile

The Saltwater Crocodile is the world's largest reptile. These amazing creatures are found manly on the northern coast of Australia and they do travel inland for about one hundred kilometres and sometimes more. The Croc can grow to lengths of seven metres or more with the average size being around four meters. They breed well and reproduce usually in the wetter seasons, the female croc laying up to sixty eggs at a time with the temperature of the saltwater crocodile's egg determining the sex of the new born crocodile. When the crocodiles are born they fall prey to other animals and a very small number of these survive in the wild and grow into adults.
