Sightseeing In The Land Downunder
"We are an amazing country with more to see than
you could fit into a life time"
You will be bedazzled by the sights you will discover in Australia.
The variety of Australia's landscape is often the subject of travel brochures and geographical discussions, but what is often missed are the hidden places where even a lot of Aussies have not yet been. Yet so much of it is so close! You do not have to travel to the Red Centre of Australia to enjoy 'the OUTBACK' as often it is very close to some of the major cities
Australia has a lot to offer the sightseeing traveller
There are the major tourist attractions like Uluru (Ayers Rock), which they say is the biggest red rock in the world! The picturesque Sydney Harbour is just one of the many shoreline attractions found on the nearly 10,000 kilometres of coastline. Sydney also has its world renowned coat-hanger Harbour Bridge and the wonderful shell shaped Sydney Opera House.
However venture out and find some of our lesser known attractions that are just as, if not more beautiful.
Places like Cradle Mountain and the Franklin River in Tasmania, Katherine Gorge, Mataranka and Kakadu in the Northern Territory, the Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsunday Islands of Tropical Queensland and the many hidden creeks, rivers and ocean bays scattered throughout the country.
Have breakfast at Sydney's Circular Quay and take a ferry ride to Manly and on your return jump on the open top city tour bus for a fun ride around the city and beaches.
Take the tram from Adelaide city to the beach at Glenelg or the ferry from the Swan River to 'Rotto' (Rottnest Island) off the coastline of the beautiful city of Perth or take in the circle of Port Phillip Bay starting from Melbourne. Venture down the highway to Geelong and Queenscliff, jump on the ferry across the mouth of the bay in view of Portsea to scenic Sorrento with its cute beachside 'change-rooms' and majestic houses above the cliffs. See the view from Arthurs Seat and the Mornington National Park before heading back up the highway to Melbourne.
Melbourne is the city with trams, fashion and glorious restaurants, Hobart has its wonderful Salamanca Markets and its convict heritage and beautiful Derwent River. A visit to Adelaide, set on the Torrens River and known as the city of churches and parklands and with the Barossa and Clare Valley wineries close by.
The west coast featuring the twin cities of Perth and Fremantle offer long deserted beaches while further south the Margaret River and South Coast have majestic timber forests, secluded wild beaches and the unmatched towns of Denmark, Albany and esperence to discover.

Head north of Perth to the Kimberley and Pilbara Ranges, the Bungle Bungle Mountains and the outback towns of Broome, Carnarvon, Exmouth, Fitzroy Crossing, Halls Creek and east to the goldfields of Kalgoolie; and that is just a few places!
The Northern Territory is just another story all on it's own! DARWIN Is known as the steeping off point to Asia and as many people leave others come, to visit places like Alice Springs which is often referred to as the "Capital of the Outback". 'Alice' as it is affectionately called is located just about in the middle of Australia, a long way from the beach, but from here the wonders of the red centre open up.
And finally let us niot forget Queensland, its capital Brisbane and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts. Queensland has a lot to offer the tourist with wonderful beaches like Noosa, Caloundra and Bribie Island, Cairns and Townsville are favourite destinations as well as the off-shore islands like Dunk and Hamilton.
Queensland and the Gold Coast is also home to all the major THEME PARKS, which are major attractions to locals and visitors alike.
