Robert Wilson: The Poets Dream
It was I found myself alert
in the middle of the night
when my dreams of being a poet just
suddenly came to life.
rubbing the sleep that lingered still
from my weary eyes,
I raised the quill to the ink
and started yet to scribe
to my disbelief I then did
find myself entranced
with aspirations of poems that dawned,
the words that sprang to life
my future as the poet
so clear and intense;
then I stirred again
as the sun it hit my eyes
was it just a dream? of a dream,
of being a poet tonight?

Lyle A Stacpoole: Out Among The Faces
Hello out there
i've got songs i'd like to sing
for you
listen if you dare
i've got dreams you may
relate to.
about a singer,
about a lover,
about a dreamer,
like any other.
out among the faces she sits
listening to my songs,
she knows the words so well she
likes to sing along,
out among the faces where the past
is moving traces
of her heart,
there's something takes her right back to the start
