"HEY! Grab your bucket and spade, because you are about to find some of the Sunshine Coast's most pristine beaches!
Swim, paddle, or surf some of the best beach and point breaks in the world or just walk along kicking the sand on long deserted sun-drenched beaches.
Splash in the sparkling, pristine, temperate water all year-round, no wet suit required here. Sounds great, doesn't it!
Bribie Island is a good place to start, from there the beaches just go on and extend for what seems an age up to places like the dramatic colored sand cliffs of
Rainbow Beach. Then head onto the great sand island of Frazer where you can take a four wheel drive for kilometers of white sandy beaches and enjoy the almost royal
blue rolling surf.
STOP! VERY IMPORTANT
No matter what beach you are on, if you cannot see a set of the two red and yellow flags flying on poles in the sand, the beach is not
patrolled by surf lifesavers and you are STRONGLY, THAT IS STRONGLY, advised NOT to swim there. Go to the area between the flags that is patrolled by the Surf Livesavers.

Every year people are INJURED OR DROWNED - THAT IS THEY DIE - because they risk swimming in unpatrolled waters.
DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY THE BEAUTY of the water or treacherous surf. Most of those at risk are tourists from overseas.
NOTE: All Australian Surf Lifesavers are volunteers, they give their time so you can be safe in the water, so please make a donation to the Surf Lifesavers if you are able or a simple thank you goes along
way.
We hope you find and enjoy one of our beautiful beaches!

Bribie Island
Bribie Island has the best of both worlds. The Pumicstone Passage waterway on the west side of the island and the surf beaches to the east. Take the Bribie Island Road from Caboolture and in 15 minutes
you are crossing the 1.5 kilometre bridge across to one of the most unique places you can ever visit. |
 |
The island stretches all the way to Caloundra but you will need a permit to venture north along the 4WD only tracks and beachfront.
You will find so many places to go fishing you will be spoilt or find a landward backwater near Sandstone Point or Toorbul to have a quite afternoon on the beach.
