Adelaide Beaches
Australia has thousands of kilometres of coast line and fantastic Beaches.
South Australia has more than its share of great beaches and they stretch all along most of the coastline in fact, 60km of white sandy beachfront makes up Adelaide's metropolitan coast.
With a climate not unlike the Mediterranean - warm wonderful summers and cool mild winters, temperatures in summer time average around 27°C to 29oC. With winter months offering around 15°C.
Semaphore Beach is approximately 6 km south of the entrance to the Port River and Outer Harbor. Then Henley Beach, West Beach, Glenelg, Brighton, Marino, O'Sullivan Beach,
Christie Beach and Aldinga Beach to Sellick's Beach in the south. The most famous and most popular is that at Glenelg.
While much of the social interaction with the Adelaide beaches recreation take's place on the beaches to the north, the metropolitan coastline from St Kilda mangroves to the geological
formations at Hallet Cove, Adelaide presents one of the best coast lines in Australia suitable for all beachcombers, sandcastle builders, sailing, anglers, swimmers or just for those that enjoy a stroll along the promenade and in many cases there is greqt dinning.
There is a brilliant array of beaches in Adelaide. Come and Visit! You will not be disappointed!
