You will need to know the best places to shop! Well, there are lots of places to spend money in Darwin. In the city centre there is a great range of stores.
There are 20 arcades and all of them are worth a visit, so do your own discover tour. Many of the arcades link streets together and you can get lost in the excitement of all the interesting things, take a look at some of the art and craft stores and Aboriginal works.
Casuarina Square is one of the largest shopping malls, offering over 175 stores, jewellers, gift, electrical, books, and fashion chains. And you might take a look at the seven-screen Birch Carroll and Coyle Cinema, while your there, it is a great place to escape for a while.
There are other centres, Karama Shopping Centre, Palmerston and the Mitchell Centre a new complex in the heart of the Darwin CBD including 40 specialty stores offering latest fashions, sports, health products, photo processing, hairdressing, travel and all the other usual shops, pharmacies, Optometrist and more.
Markets? Absolutely, there a few were you can spend time and have some fun. Mindil Beach Sunset Markets is one of the best. You'll find food from every continent, handicrafts, and all kinds of souvenirs that are just amazing.
Shopping can be a true tropical experience, exotic shady trees and a social ambience that is 'Darwin'.
