The Sunshine Coast is a conglomerate of towns and cities just one hours drive north of Brisbane. The coast incorporates Bribie Island - Caloundra - Mooloolaba - Alexandra headland - Maroochydore - and Coolum up to Noosa, and inland to Nambour, Cooroy and the hinterlands Mapleton Range. The North Coast is a beautiful part of the world that offers the residents and visitors much.

There are long beautiful beaches, great accommodation, wonderful places to shop, live entertainment and surf style clubs that offer just about everything; they sit almost on the sand so you are able to watch people swimming and surfing. Be served by one of the friendly Sunshine Coast staff at one of the fine dining restaurants or enjoy a frap or a coffee by the sea in one of the many beach side café's, or grab some snags or a couple of steaks and have a Barbeque in one of the beach-side parks.

Visit some of the attractions! We say 'some', because it will take a long time to see them all. To wet your appetite, there is first and foremost the very best thing of all to do, LAY ON THE BEACH AND DO NOTHING!

There is more to Noosa than shopping and the beach. A picturesque cliff walk in the Noosa National Park brings you upon dozens of secluded coves and bays. You could spend a whole day just wandering through them.

Head down to Bribie Island, or take a boat from Caloundra, and see beautiful Pumicestone Passage. Its sheltered waterways are scattered with fishermens boats, waterskiers and other water craft just having fun. Take a walk along the boulevard at Bulcock Beach among the Norfolk Pines, savouring a gelati from the close-by cafes. Enjoy the unique surf beach and salt water swimming pool at Kings Beach in Caloundra. The long sandy beaches then stretch all the way alongside Kawana, Maroochydore, Coolum and Sunshine Beach and are ideal for surfing, boogie boarding or just a relaxing walk. The calm waters of Golden Beach, Currimundi Lake, Mooloolaba Spit and the Noosa River are perfect for the kids to just have fun or learn to fish.

There is the rusting skeleton of the SS Dicky wreck to see on Dicky Beach, one of a many Australian beaches with its own shipwreck.

Away from the coastline you can explore the Hinterland and a number of ranges and hills. Climb Tinbeerwah Lookout and see the sights of Noosa and Lake Cooroibah from a different perspective. Visit Kondalilla Falls in the Mapleton Range and follow the valley roads to Kenilworth and the cheese factory there. You will find the exquisite green valleys and the sound of the Bell Bird relaxing as the kids enjoy the relatively still clear waters of the Mary River. Take the back road north through Imbil, or south to Maleny and find towns hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist just an hour from Noosa and Caloundra.
