Horse Riding Adventures
"Take an Exciting Aussie Horse Riding Adventure"
How Adventurous are you?

"There was movement at the station,
For the word had passed around,
That the colt from old Regret had got away.
He had joined the wild bush horses, He was worth a thousand pounds,
So all the cracks had gathered to the fray.
All the tried and noted riders from the stations near and far,
Had mustered at the homestead overnight,
For the bushmen love hard riding where the wild bush horses are,
And the stock-horse snuffs the battle with delight."

There are hundreds of wonderful and exciting places in every state in Australia where you can
go horse riding, even in areas just outside the major cities, where you can spend a few happy hours, just cantering around with
friends or getting into more serious bush rides.
Or for the really adventurous you can select a property on a few acres to book yourself a great riding holiday and if you really
want excitement, there are cattle drives.

The Great Australian Cattle Drive
The following is an extract from their website:-
You peer from your tent at the stillness of an Outback dawn-a few morning stars and the first licks of orange light
across the desert horizon. Then you clamber into your riding clothes. They smell of saddle-leather and dust, but it's a
good smell, an honest smell, like something you've earned, and as you tug on your boots you realise you're already
eager to see your horse. Somewhere to the west, the cattle are stirring, lowing and stamping the red earth, and the
drovers are making ready. You stand outside your tent to watch as the morning sky streaks with golden light; the air is
laced with the aroma of hot, strong coffee and you smile. Getting up early never felt this good...
Cattle driving is thirsty business. So the outpost of William Creek - complete with roadhouse, campsite, racetrack,
airport and 'rocket park' will make for a very special stop. With a population of less than 10, it's often claimed
to be Australia's smallest town. What's beyond dispute is the fact it's home to one of Australia's most isolated pubs.
What can we say about the William Creek Hotel? It's probably best left as a surprise - but suffice to say, it's like no
other!
