Swimming in Australia
"More than a summer pastime - Aussies are very Competitive"
It is in the blood of most Auusies to love the water
Most Aussie kids grow up swimming; in rivers, lakes, dams and even swimming pools. Being competitive many not only take to the water but enjoy racing and Australian Swimmers are always most competitive at the Olypmics and other International swimming carnvials.
Swimming Carnivals start right at a very early age at Primary School and the school swimming champs are as well known as the best footy or cricket players. Many then go on to training with specialised Swimming Coaches and make it to the Olympics from the humblest towns and places.
