"Competing with more countries more often at the highest level"
Just another great Australia, New Zealand, South African Rivalry
The form of rugby played as a world sport in more countries and Australia has a fair representation performing well at the World Cup and other inter-country rivalries. With the world getting smaller through increased travel Aussies are competing with more countries in more competitions with teams from Argentina and Europe arriving more often to play at the highest level.
Local competition also incorporates club teams from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa playing in an annual home/away competition as well as the Tri-Nation cup between the three countries.
The sport has long been a popular part of Private School curriculums but due to the immigration of people from Rugby playing countries, particularly New Zealand and the Pacific, the number of those playing in Australia has increased.
