Maroochydore's broad beach seems to continue on for ever, the sun drenched soft white sand eases through you toes as you walk along
and take in the spectacular colourful views along the beach as you head toward Mooloolaba.
It is a must see beach! The name Maroochydore is interesting it was sourced from the Aboriginal word meaning "Red Bill" and the Black Swans residing in the area
have red Bills.

Maroochydore beach is a wonderful place to swim the water temperatures ranging between 19°C to 25°C so the waters are very inviting,
which means you can just dive in without the fear of that shattering coolness taking you by surprise. It is s great swimming and surfing beach that almost
everyone takes advantage off locals and holiday makers alike.

You might like to keep and eye out for the dangers of the water too, families and travellers not knowing the waters and those with young children need to be
mindful of the rips, rocks and especially blue bottles and jellyfish. Blue bottle (Portuguese Man of War) often blow into the beach and onto the sand.
DON'T TOUCH THEM or walk on them as they have a terrible sting, children have been know to try to pick them up because of the pretty colour!

While sometime dangers are present, they are not about all of the time Maroochydore beach a beautiful beach and is life saver patrolled by the Maroochydore surf life saving club,
(The swans) which is right in the beach and flags are erected every day indicating the safe areas to swim.
Maroochydore beach is not far from shops and restaurants. and parking is breeze. Locals, visitors and the tourist will enjoy the long wide sand beach and
foreshore it's jus right for everything beachy including the building of sandcastles and throwing in a line for a fish, a game of cricket or touch footy, or throwing
a stick for the dog and wave-jumpers will experience a spectacular day out too! Plenty of food is available and one can duck into the club for a cooldy later!

Marchooydore is open and a exposed beach that has waves that are reasonably constant, and works best when the breeze is from the southwest.
both left and right breaks that are ideal when the swell angle is from the east southeast.
When working the beach can get a little crowded. Interesting you will see the tradies driving around with boards on top of the van and Ute's in readiness to drop tools and hit the water when the place is buzzing. The local
understand how it works so don't be afraid to ask and watch out for the rips, rocks, sharks and blue bottles and jellyfish. Nearby Surf Breaks closest to
