Cars and car clubs have been running and operating in Australia since motorised transportation
was invented. We drive and race our cars on open roads, deserts, BEACHES and in the OUTBACK.
Motor sport is super popular and has an enormous following. There are car rallies held all over the country, then there is the speedway, dirt and road bike racing, sprint cars and
'bash'em up' car racing, drag racing and formula one and there are many more. We Aussies will race just about anything with a motor and wheels and it is not all just for the rich
and famous.
Australians are members of car clubs all over Australia and come from all walks of life, restoring and enjoying cars from the basic to the exotic.
A good example of a well established club - The MG Car Club of Queensland. This club was formed in 1954 and meetings are
held in Brisbane. The Club's aim is to foster fellowship and competition among MG owners and enthusiasts.

The variety club of Australia celebrate the enjoyment of helping sick children by raising money through events like the THE VARIETY CLUB BASH and the
SPLASH. Rallies are held every year and I can tell you the bash members have a ball.
