Have you noticed we actually now have TWO AML websites? Well THREE if you count the new AML-AM Members replicated websites! We have taken AML.com.au BACK to the original concept of being a strictly ‘information site’ about Australia, and have trimmed the advertising to a minimum. We have always thought of AML as a glossy magazine – one that people look at for information. How many people pick up the Womens Weekly or Sports Illustrated to look at the advertising? We pick them up to READ something. So it is with AML.com.au.

- The Big Wet Hits Kilcowera Station!

Kilcowera has been transformed from very dry, dusty and dead to a bird and photographers paradise again. After some rain in the last 2 months we received 97 mls on Christmas day! There are swamps and dams on the place that have not had significant water in them this decade but they are now full. The 2 creeks near the house and quarters have both run very big, one even has rapids in it that you can hear roaring in the quiet of the evening or morning. Frogs croaking all night and hopefully birds coming back in droves. This could be the start of a good breeding event for them.

The Dingo:

The dingo is a magnificent animal and Australia's wild dog. The dingo's origin is very uncertain, all tho researching scientists do believe that it could be related to Asian or Middle Eastern wolves and probably came to Australia sometime between 3,500 and 4,000 years ago.

The most interesting thing or distinguishing feature about the Dingo is they DO NOT BARK! Dingos are able to communicate over long distances with howls - like wolves.
